The Basics

Thank you for visitng my blog!  My purpose for this blog is to share what I am experiencing in Thailand with all my friends and family back home (those near the Boston area, those in Rochester, and those in scattered places throughout the world!). 

The basics: I am moving to Thailand May 29 and will be living in Nonthaburi, Thailand, which is just north of Bangkok.  I will be teaching at the Global English School, which is a K-12 school for native Thai children.  It is a Christian school whose aim is to educate native children, teaching them English so they can have a successful future, and also showing them the love of Christ in all things.  If you want to learn more about the school you can check out the website at http://www.ges.ac.th/ 

I am the art teacher for the school, and will be teaching grades 1-12.  This is the first year they have had an art program so I will be starting everything from scratch!  Although it's a big task, I'm really excited to be teaching art at this school.  I know without a doubt that God has opened the doors for me to be here and I'm so excited for what he has in store for me and for all the ways I will change and grow.

I would appreciate your prayers as I embark on this adventure!  I would also love to hear from you and keep in touch while I'm away. Although this blog will serve to let others know what's going on in my life, I hope that you will let me know what's going on in your life as well!
